The cartilage of the sight of the ends of the bones, and creates a virtually friction-free motion of the affected joints, but for the harm it may cause the bones to grind directly into the bone, resulting in pain and limited movement. With this wear and tear can occur over the course of many years, or it may be accelerated as a result of a joint injury or infection.
